Coastal Celtic Britain by Car, One Week

This itinerary is very flexible and leaves a lot of room for creativity.  It's mostly our suggestions for the highlights of Cornwall and Wales, arranged in a convenient geographical order.  When visiting Cornwall, be prepared for the narrowest roads you've ever driven on, lined with hedges, where the speed limit is still 60 mph!  The Celtic roots of Cornwall and Wales create a very different culture from England.  Geographically, imagine the rolling hills of England, then condense them, and add a dose of haunting mystery and dramatic coastline.  The regions' strong accents also might have you wondering whether the person you're talking to is actually speaking English.  Cornwall and Wales' dairy products are world famous, and rightly so, get your fill of ice cream, milk, and cream teas while you're there!

Where you stay at night depends greatly on your style of travel, preferences, and budget -- Cornwall and Wales have plenty of every option, from camping to B & B's to schmanzy hotels, so take your pick!  Booking.com is a great resource for UK hotels.
